AIDS Walk and Festivals

Growing up in the 90s, you may have seen this design aesthetic. This is the signature style of the Keith Haring Foundation. Their work focuses on ending the HIV epidemic and has been one of the many supports at NYC AIDS Walk. The walk is a fundraiser that my organization and many others have volunteered for. I saw several companies including Jet Blue, Microsoft, Target, etc throughout the walk. I was under the impression that it was a 5 mile walk. It was 6.

I didn't take many pictures because I was so sweaty. My full length of hair was soaking wet with sweat - shirt, bag... everything! It started off as cloudy day, but it turned into a rather sunny day. Thankfully we had a light rain shower in the middle of walk. Towards the end there were trucks giving out free snacks, such as chips, breakfast bars, and even Hagen-daz Ice Cream!
Thinking about future street parties, parades, outdoor events, and (hopefully?) festivals that I'll be attending this summer; I've decided to purchase a hydration pack.

Look at it! It's so pretty!
