Hiya my lovely unicorns! I was invited by Solkuro to this DBFZ Invitational in Manhattan. I’m pushing to get into the esports community. I just love competitive gaming; the strategy, the finesse - it’s all too awesome to me! It was a nice event and I was cheering on my friend Solkuro and RandomFiend. Both of these people are pretty awesome.
RandomFiend did really well the first day. He was stomping people left and right. During one of his many beatdowns, I held up a sign that read “We Random” upon his victory. The audience had a good chuckle. He went on to day 2 with a perfect 3-0 in his bracket. Unfortunately, he didn’t win day 2, but he placed 3rd. His controller broke and that cost him the match - locking him into 3rd place. He was visibly upset and discarded his controller and opted out of his prize of $50.
I witnessed first-hand true disappointment. It didn’t ruin the event for me or anything, but I felt a little stunted. That’s the nature of the beast.
